The GeNA Project team is pleased to invite you to join our upcoming Online Training on Gender Process Monitoring in Nature-based Aquaculture, which will be held from 17-21 August 2026 everyday from 2:00–4:00 PM (Thailand Time, GMT+7)
GeNA project (Making NbCS in Aquaculture in Southeast Asia monitoring more gender responsive: What gets measured, gets done) is a project under AQUADAPT program supported by IDRC Canada, led by Gender in Aquaculture and Fisheries section (GAFS) of Asian Fisheries Society. GeNA project has developed and piloted gender process monitoring in nature-based aquaculture and would like to share the method for wider use. It is a simple observation-based monitoring focusing on process of change, capturing small changes in gender relations and women’s empowerment as it happens.
Over the five sessions, we will explore practical ways to understand and document changes in gender relations, women’s empowerment, and participation in nature-based aquaculture systems. The training will introduce the GeNA gender process monitoring schema, share experiences from pilot sites, and provide hands-on exercises on observation, interviewing, documenting stories of change, and analyzing monitoring data.
